Speech - Language Consultations

Several types of consultations are available. Initial and ongoing speech/language/oral-motor/feeding consults consist of informal assessments, observations and verbal discussion along with recommendations. A written report is not prepared unless you make special arrangements prior to the consult. As a client, ongoing consultations are recommended and consist of phone conversations or scheduled appointments to discuss you or your child's therapy goals and progress.

Speech - Language Evaluations

Several types of evaluations are available depending on the areas of concern. All evaluations consist of formal and/or informal testing of specific areas and include a written report. Evaluations are available for pediatrics and adults. Evaluations can sometimes take more than one or two sessions.  However, you will only be charged for a one time evaluation fee.

Speech - Language Therapy Sessions

Therapy will be customized by Amy and the client/and/or the family centered around the individual’s abilities, needs, wants, and goals and then the outcome of the evaluation. It will be provided in a comfortable and trusting environment and will utilize a broad range of therapy styles and techniques. A basic session is 30 minutes but that may be extended to 45 or 60 minutes in length if warranted. A session can also be deemed for 2 or 3 times a week if needed.  Tele-practice (Therapy over the computer with me, the therapist guiding every step) is now an option for the right circumstances for those who are not near NYC or can not leave their home.  If interested, please ask about this program.
